I would like to be a leader in achieving the Millennium Development Goals.

MDG Leadership supports two main types of leadership:

• 1: MDG Game Leadership
• 2: MDG Country Leadership

1: MDG Game Leadership

First 1000 MDG Game Pioneers Initiative


MDG Game, developed in partnership by the United Nations and The People's Foundation (providers of the MDG Achievers Collaboration Community solution), is a fun and easy way to learn about the Millennium Development Goals and was launched by the United Nations at the Shanghai World Expo, China on the 26th October 2010. MDG Game is the first and currently only educational single player and multi-player / multi-computer online game on the MDGs that incorporates official United Nations statistical data. In this context, MDG Game is a pioneering solution. Much more important however is the pioneering role that registered players of MDG Game can play.

MDG Game is additionally pioneering in the following contexts:

1. It instantly educates people on a global, country by country basis, as to the reality of our humanitarian, environmental, social and economic challenges.

2. It immediately initiates thought processes within players about solutions they can contribute for achieving the MDGs by 2015 and can invoke contextual discussion and collaboration between players to bring about and implement these solutions.

3. It converts statistical data into an enjoyable and engaging experience with significant capacity to rapidly go viral. In just 4 weeks of beta testing with a small open group of only 50 registered players, over 11,000 hits were generated and hundreds of MDG Games were played. All player participants in MDG Game are thus, at this stage, inherently pioneers!

In this spirit of pioneering for the MDGs, MDG Achievers has created a "First 1000 Pioneer" initiative to show appreciation to and reward the first 1000 members who play the game and contribute to expanding its membership worldwide. We invite you to contribute to the betterment of Humanity and help the World with us by becoming one of the first 1000 pioneering player-evangelists of MDG Game.

To qualify as a First 1000 Pioneer of the game, a member will have:

* Played each of the 8 MDG games with any one country per game.
* Won a medal of any kind - Bronze, Silver or Gold - at any level - Starter, Expert or Genius - in each of the 8 MDG games played.
* Told at least one friend or contact about the game who signs up and qualifies in the same way by achieving the same as above.

The first registered First 1000 Pioneer members will receive a digital "First 1000 Pioneer" certificate that will have their name inscribed on it.

Each First 1000 Pioneer will be entered into a prize draw for MDG Achievers' imminent, revolutionary MDG PAD - a Windows 7 Tablet PC that is tailored to the needs of social and business networkers, social-entrepreneurs, small businesses, NGOs, not-for-profit organizations, governments and national and international institutions working and collaborating on the MDGs. MDG PAD additionally supports Flash (enabling users to watch videos online on sites like YouTube), is preloaded with MS Office, (thus enabling use of Word, Excel and Powerpoint applications), a choice of popular browsers, incorporates a powerful portfolio of communication, collaboration, networking, project management, document management and productivity applications, and integrates the revolutionary MDG Game with a quick launch button.

All First 1000 Pioneers can increase their chances of winning the MDG PAD by increasing their number of prize-draw tickets. This can be done by telling more people who register as players of MDG Game and by improving your performance on the MDG Game Leaderboard in the following way:

After the first 1000 MDG Game pioneers prize-draw has been held, MDG PAD prize draws will thereafter be held on a monthly basis with the monthly top 1000 players on the game leader board.

* The date of the 1st MDG PAD prize draw will be announced once the date of the first deliveries of the MDG PAD have been announced. We are currently in negotiations with supplier, service and support partners and hope to conclude these discussions before Christmas 2010.

2. MDG Achievers Country Leadership

The Global MDG-Focused Humanitarian-Business Management Initiative

We are establishing representative leaders per MDG in each country. If you have experience in one or more MDGs and would like to represent MDG Achievers in your country, once you have signed up as a member of MDG Game and MDG Achievers, you will be able to submit our MDG Achievers Country Leadership application form.

Our business plan incorporates the objective of ensuring that ethical, qualified, competent and hard working humanitarian, environmental and business leaders are appropriately compensated for the role they play in supporting and coordinating management of important MDG related organizations, communities, volunteers and projects in their countries.
